Holly Foster

Stories are one of the most effective tools I use as a multimedia developer. I am passionate about storytelling because it allows people to learn without feeling they are being taught.

Creative writing instructor Robert McKee said “Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world.” I agree, and as a scriptwriter I weave stories into my work whenever possible.

At the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, I manage a team that creates and produces instructional videos and eLearning. As a former CPA, I bring the discipline of planning and completing projects that deliver measurable results. As a former web designer, I understand how to tailor the message to the media.

When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy reading and film and frequently attend film festivals. You may also run into me in Jonesborough, Tennessee at the National Storyteller’s Festival, held each year during the first week in October.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Interactive Media and Communication at Quinnipiac University. You can check out my master’s blog at untilnxttime.com, or you can email me at filmstruck3@gmail.com.
